Description

1) This is a presmoked
pipe in a billiard shape that weighs 44 grams, has an “AD” 14 carat gold
A/M system and is in outstanding condition.
2) The second presmoked
billiard weights 39 grams, has an “AD” 14 carat gold A/M system and is
also in outstanding condition.
3) This presmoked
bent billiard weights 46 grams, has an “AD” 14 carat gold A/M system and
is in outstanding condition.

Notes

The leather companion case
was probably designed to protect these three extraordinary pipes. Their
special characteristics may be resumed as follows:
a - the gold hallmarks on
the bands include the “n” indicating that they were originally fitted in
1987 at the Factory, when the pipes were manufactured;
b - the gold mounting present
the quite unusual feature of being at 14 carat;
c – it also quite unusual
that a companion case be arranged to contain three pipes with the same
finish.
Pipes destined to be marketed
in companion cases are always chosen from the better shapes produced and
the three pipes presented here confirm this rule; they also go very well
together in a useful case, suitable for a week’s journey.
It goes without saying that
this proposal is addressed to advanced Collectors.
