Notes
Friends, here is the second (and probably the last) Lacquered pipe offered on my web site since it was launched in September 2000.
Expert collectors know very well the rarity of Lacquered pipes made in the ‘60s, born from the collaboration between Britain’s Alfred Dunhill and Japanese’s Namiki on pipes, smoking paraphernalia, fountain pens and other items.
By clicking here http://www.top-pipes-collection.it/030.htm you’ll reach the page of my site where this ancient and ongoing collaboration is explained with more details.
As this proposal is addressed to expert collectors, I think that words are superfluous.
The only issue of this pipe is a very light (and normal) wear and tear of the gold lacquer (not the black) on outer edge of bowl (see close-up photos). This is merely aesthetic, as I bought this pipe in the same conditions some 20 years ago.
Notwithstanding this negligible aesthetical defect, it’s remains a highly collectible pipe that allows the feature of being smoked without fearing of damaging it. In fact, a virgin and uncut lacquered pipe requires so much care and attention that it deprives the owner of the pleasure of smoking it.
We know that Dunhill-Namiki lacquered pipes made in our days are priced at various thousand Dollars/Euros and they are not at all easy to find. This offer then represents an unique opportunity for entering the vintage fascinating, prestigious and exclusive world of those pipes at a reasonable cost.
Dunhill’s enthusiasts, do not let an opportunity like this pass you by!
Price
Euro 3.100,00 (see “payment” procedures/formalities).
