This pipe, that has a very
nice and well raised blast, was offered on a limited edition basis of 500
pieces worldwide for celebrating Christmas 1994 and is numbered #9.
It is the second issue of the
twelve-year series called “The Twelve Days of Christmas” dedicated to verses
taken from the traditional sixteenth century English Christmas Carol.
In this case, the silver band
is decorated with the verse “Two Turtle Doves”, the penultimate verse of
the carol and is also the theme shown in the wonderful solid silver tamper
accompanying the pipe.
It comes with a leather-bound
presentation case that looks like a book with gold stampings on the spine,
has the original presentation card, and the silver tamper mentioned above
Advanced Dunhill collectors will
definitely be interested in this piece for they are all too aware of the
great difficulty in finding samples of Limited Edition pipes.
