“This Lighter has a number of special features which include a rapid and easy flint-changing device and an automatic action which produces a flame merely by a flick on the roller.” The mechanism, which permits a single gentle flick of the roller both to open the lid and to produce a flame, was patented in 1939, but it seems that regular production begun in the early 1950s. It works perfectly and I was surprised to see that a single petrol charge was enough for more than two weeks of normal use. This lighter was offered in two different sizes: this is that small (2” height). I must stress that lens of my Leica digital camera did an excessive good work in this case, as they were able to capture even what I’m not able to see with my eyes. This lighter is really in excellent condition and I assure that the small black signs visible in some photographs are not visible “in person”. Discerned collectors cannot let this item pass! |
