This
is a classic bent shape. The #41022 replaced the popular #56 when
the previous coding system changed in 1975.
Said
that, I just underline that it’s very light, has a generous bowl and a
dense graining with appreciable bird’s eye on the sides of the bowl. Moreover,
the original silver band adds elegance to the whole.
It’s
not coincidental that Dunhill in recent years introduced it’s second from
the top Amber Root finish and that its premier finish, the Root briar,
is very scarce and becoming more so with each passing day.
Here
is a good chance for getting a prestigious presmoked Dunhill carved about
a quarter-of-a-century ago in “as new” condition, at a fair cost.
