This offer is addressed to
expert Collectors/Smokers as it represents quite a rare addition to any
collection as well being a special pipe to be smoked.
I have smoked this pipe with
great care for many years and the “coulottage” process is just beginning,
as the immaculate original white is now becoming a beautiful warm ivory
colour.
The pipe is presented in a strong
cardboard box with fitted internal padding. A number of hand-made cotton
pipe gloves, to be used while smoking to avoid damage due to the direct
hand contact with the pipe, will be supplied.
Smoking this pipe is pleasant
and untiring, despite its generous dimensions. Nonetheless, my personal
advice is to smoke it while seated in a comfortable armchair, to avoid
the unthinkable consequences of dropping it.
I cannot state for sure what
the figure represents, but I guess that the carver idea was to reproduce
the face of an ancient man wearing a typical hat.
