Notes
|
|
This is an unusual variant
of the Prince of Wales theme. Usually Princes have small sized bowls while
this variant has a very large bowl that can be compared to that of a group
4 Pot.
It’s a very interesting pipe
that is unfortunately not sufficiently appreciated by smokers and collectors
perhaps, because it was produced in very small quantities. Its large stem
coupled to the saddle bit and the generous bowl makes for incredible elegance
and efficiency.
The surface of this pipe
is very pleasant to look for the dense graining combined to the wonderful
classic Bruyere finish.
It’s very hard to find a
rare shape like this still unsmoked notwithstanding its 30 years of age.
