Notes
|
I own various samples of
this shape in my personal collection because of its lightness coupled with
the high bowl that allows for long and comfortable smoke while walking.
It’s an extraordinary pipe that
is unfortunately not enough appreciated by smokers and collectors as it
was always offered very rarely. The long stem coupled with the high bowl
and the slightly bent mouthpiece makes for incredible elegance and efficiency.
This pipe is offered in the clear
and transparent Bruyere finish adopted in the late 1960’ and the early
1970’ that permits one to easily see the pattern of the prestigious Calabrian
briar that, in this case, shows a very nice bird’s eye.
This pipe is 31 years old and
is still mint: I reserved it for special occasions but have decided to
cede this opportunity to another (younger) collector.
