The “Le Castelline” series
was offered in the 1980s, in a very limited edition, to allow collectors
to own a miniature version of their favourite shapes.
I can confirm from personal experience
that these pipes can be smoked, but my advice is to leave them new as examples
of the carver’s skill and ability.
This gracious pipe has a very
good straight grain that increases the appreciation for this mini-pipe
which reproduces a quite famous Castello’s shape.
