This pipe is really “as new”
and very rarely included among Castello’s offerings. I think it’s one of
nicer pipes ever made and am sure it will be appreciated by smokers/collectors.
Bowl has thick walls and
an appreciable straight grain on its 5 panels. Regarding to these 5 panels
it must be observed that uneven faces are difficult to obtain, as none
of them can be parallel to another. In this case, view of the rim shows
the design of a perfect pentagon with sides of the same length and it was
obtained with a rigorous (and difficult) observance of the five angles,
which must have 108 degrees each!
It stands up and size is
that of a Dunhill group 5.

for getting an “as new” pipe at an estate price!
