To you aficionados of the
large pipe, consider this one carefully. Its overall dimensions are very
generous and well suited for long satisfactory smokes.
It has an appreciable straight
grain all around the bowl as an evidence of the well centred ebauchon from
which it was carved a generation ago. In addition, the briar inlay artistically
carved fitted to the stem, besides permitting one to remove the bit while
smoking, adds a touch of uniqueness to the pipe.
Those features and the outstanding
condition represent a rare opportunity and I suggest that fellow smokers/collectors
give it their utmost attention.
As usual, pipe has been accurately
cleaned, but contrary to my habit the carbon cake coming from the British
blends, has not been totally removed, leaving this pleasure to the new
owner. Naturally, I’m ready to complete the adjustment upon your request.
